Fairlight Hall RDA was awarded the Buchan Bobby award at the South East Regional Conference held at Hickstead on the 21st October. The award is given annually to the group that has made a significant impact or contribution to the SE Region over the past 12 months. We are currently closed for the Summer Holidays but that didnt stop our fundraising team raising £3000 at the annual Ironmasters ride held at Brightling Park. Over 100 horses took part on the day and a fantastic time was had by all.
We are very excited to have secured the funds to replace our Clubhouse with donations received from Sport England National Lottery, The Screwfix Foundation and the Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust. A group of volunteers enthusiastically demolished the old building and the new Clubhouse is due to be erected on the 21st August. We are planning to have it ready for use in September. There will also be a deck installed next the the Clubhouse which will be used for Tea with a Pony and Art and Craft Sessions. All areas will be accessible to wheelchair users.
We will be at Beckley Church Fete on the 31st August.
Meanwhile the horses and volunteers are having a well earned break.
We continue to have new volunteers coming forward to join us and we welcome them all to our Group and the joy of working with our horses and riders.

Tea with a pony
We are excited to be able to offer Tea with a Pony sessions to those with dementia or other life long conditions. The sessions last about an hour and offer the chance to interact with the ponies, watch a lesson and have some tea and cake with us. Bonnie loves being fussed over as you can see from the picture!
